A form page that contains ActivEdit MUST be loaded from the server where the form page resides. A proxy server that caches the most common version of a frequently visited page will prevent ActivEdit from loading. The requirement that each request for the form page be loaded from the server is a security measure that should not be bypassed.
One way to fool a proxy is to use a different protocol. Most proxies cache only HTTP requests. Since SSL will be enabled in many applications, browsing to a form page containing ActivEdit with https will bypass the proxy. Try it in our online demo at https://www.cfdev.com/activedit/demo
Clents that run Norton Antivirus or Personal Firewall should be able to load ActivEdit over port 443 (SSL/https). Clients using Norton 2004 should be able to load the form page in http or https.
The following changes to browser settings should disable proxy caching. You may want to do this temporarily while using ActivEdit in applications that don't have SSL enabled.
