Activedit 4.0 Documentation -- System Requirements

Server
- PHP 4.0 and up
- Windows, Solaris, Linux, HP-UX (Any UNIX supported by PHP)
Client
- Microsoft Windows Operating System
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and up (we recommend 5.0) two features do not work on IE 4.
- ActiveX control's enabled
- Macs will run the DHTML version under VirtualPC
OR
- Java 2 Plug-in enabled browser
- Not currently supported on Macs as of OSX 10.2
PHP Security Information
- Make sure the file_uploads parameter is on in your php.ini if you want to allow images to be uploaded (file_uploads = on)
- The directory where you want to allow image uploads to must be owned by the same owner as the web server owner (UNIX only -- Normally nobody:nobody unless changed in Apache configuration file.)
- Edit the encryption key in inc/cypher.php to be something unique. Variables that are passed in the url are encrypted using this key.
